The mystery of Filipino Spiritual Healing

As you have seen, there are some areas in the Philippines that are truly mystical. It is impossible to dispute that the majority of the visitors come to experience the culture, customs, and hospitality of the Filipino people.

They also wanted to know if the ‘kapre” ( a gigantic black giant man with a big cigar ) is real or not, as well as the “mananaggal” ( a woman who can split her body in half and fly half of it ). An “aswang” ( a man that turns into an animal ).  A “dwende” ( elf ) that either brings good fortune or bad luck. A “white lady” is a lady ghost that rides in your car or in your motorcycle. These were only some of the mystical incidents that were happening here as what some have experienced.

However, the majority of visitors come to experience spiritual and faith healing as well as various events that sometimes science cannot explain. For some coming here is a divine calling, to accept themselves fully without judgment, to embrace it fully, and open up to their spirituality in this way they find their purpose in life. Others improve their healing abilities by practicing various Filipino healing practices.
